Safeguarding training for governors and trustees provides clarity on unique responsibilities, up-to-date knowledge of statutory guidance like "Working Together to Safeguard Children," legislation such as Children Acts, and safer recruitment practices, while teaching recognition of abuse signs and key topics. It builds skills for effective oversight through gathering information, offering support, assurance, and constructive challenge to senior leaders, alongside preparation for inspections by detailing expectations and readiness strategies.
